goodbye to blogspot, etc.

Sometime in the next x number of weeks, I will be deleting this blog.  I have no particular complaints about blogspot (except that I could never modify the layout the way I wanted, just because I'm not that smart anymore).  I'm just looking to centralize as much as possible and I kind of like the approach of tumblr better - it just seems really easy to use.

Soon enough (Mom), tumblr will be how I keep the world (you) updated on what's going on with me.  All of the privacy creepiness aside, Facebook just doesn't really do it for me.  Yes, they've taken it to a whole other level with informatin sharting, but in my opinion, their design sucks nuts, and put near every other "networking" web site out there is just as bad about sharing info.  For instance, have you ever noticed how google seemingly peruses the content of your emails to determine which ads it feels are most appropriate to show you in your gmail window? Seriously.  To me, that's almost way worse than anything Facebook is doing.

Anyway, my point: we're all here on the WORLD WIDE WEB leaving a paper trail and an imprint of ourselves, and more times than not, someone is collecting information about you.  That someone is likely a computer that is going to gather all of this intelligence and use it to one day to rise up and revolt against the human race.  So we are all doomed anyway.  I'm just ready for the next thing to get me through until I leave... for another thing. It's a vicious cycle, but you got stay ahead in the game.

I am still Chad, and you can still hear me snore... just over here now:

K.E. + Violin

I had no idea she played the violin.  I thought this was blog worthy.  I hope she moves to the PACNW... and becomes my violin player.

SnoozeBlast! Grim

This is the song that spawned this whole idea.  So so good.  One of my most personally influential bands.

This is from "Electric Rock Music" - their major label debut - back in 1993 or so?  The same LP that brought you "Little Bastard".
