re-blog

Back in the old myspace days, blogging got really popular, and I got hooked on it. Everyone else was blogging, sharing their writing and other random thoughts, and it inspired me to write more. Soon there were songs, poetry, rants and whatnot. I felt more creative than I had in years.

Myspace is, for all practical purposes, dead. I killed my pages and merged everything into one band page. I wrote a few more things, and got sucked into the world of Facebook. When I look back now, Myspace was a far more valuable resource than Facebook ever will be. I mean, aside from reconnecting with people and family from my ancient past, Facebook really seems to lack any sort of worthwhile value for me personally. At least with Myspace, I spent some ways with my time that I found to be quite worthwhile and productive.

This really isn't a statement for Myspace or anything against Facebook. It's all trash, and we all know it, and we still love it. It's just an explanation for why I'm starting this blog. I want to write. I haven't written anything in probably 3-4 months, and that is too long. So I'm going to see if this will kick start something for me.
