Some highlights so far...

Got up Friday morning and passed a place called 1880 Town. It was set up like an old ghost town, and you could go in all of the buildings. It was quite fun.

Soon after were the Badlands. I'm not sure what happened to me there. That place is so barren and desolate, and I was completely overcome with one of the worst feelings I've had in my life. Not to be overly dramatic, but it felt like something (me) was dying or had died there. It got better as it went on but damn... The first bit of it on the east side was more than enough for me.

I skipped Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Not enough time and I wanted to make Devil's Tower before dark. I did drive a bit through the Black Hills though and ended up passing through Deadwood. That looked fun. Anyway, Devil's Tower was no disappointment.

That night we made it to Buffalo, WY. That was about the worst dining experience of my life. I'd say probably avoid that place at all cost.

Saturday was Big Horn Mountains & Basin, Cody WY, Buffalo Bill state reserve, Rockies, Yellowstone & Bozeman MT. More on those later...
